“All”

Led by: Brad Kramer
This group is currently looking at ALL the biblical evidence that Jesus is the One who was promised to deliver us from sin and death. This group relies on participants sharing their own experiences that enforce our belief that Jesus is Lord and Savior.
 

“Grace-based Parenting”

Led by: Pastor Linda Johnson
This group is primarily young parents, but any age is welcome. “In Grace-Based Parenting, Dr. Tim Kimmel offers a revolutionary concept that focuses on the model and guidance provided by God the Father, the ultimate child and family expert. This is not another manual full of impossible standards; rather it is a new map for learning to see ourselves and our children through God’s limitless tenderness—to raise
our kids the way God raises us.”
 

“Faith Connections”

Led by: Pastor Marc Frink
The members of this group are primarily Senior Adults but all ages are welcome. They use the Faith Connections materials by the Foundry Publishing. For the Spring Quarter, March through May, they will be studying the books of I & II Corinthians.

Men’s Connect Group: Faith Connections

Led by: Darrell Johnson
This group meets at Brother’s Coffee, 1437 Anderson Ave, Manhattan. They use the Faith Connections materials by the Foundry. For the Spring Quarter, March through May, they will be studying the books of I & II Corinthians.
 

Young Adults

Led by: Sarah Becker
No matter where you are in your faith journey, chances are you have questions! Fearless conversations will help us navigate through some of the grappling questions that Christians and non-Christians alike have about God, faith, the Bible, and life. This is a place to share, ask, openly discuss, and dive deep into the Bible to discover truth.
This group is primarily for young adults, aged 18-30. They meet at Brother’s Coffee, 1437 Anderson Ave, Manhattan.
 

“Malachi”

Led by: Pastor Mark Thompson
This Connect Group meets on Sundays at the home of Pastor Mark & Donna, 3109 Harahey Ridge, Manhattan and since it is not taking place at the church, it would work best for those who do not need childcare. They are doing biblical studies and the first one will be on the book of Malachi

Children & Youth Group

Children’s Church and Youth groups are also available for Infants through high-school aged children and youth on Sunday Morning.

Wednesday Night Connect Groups – 7:00pm

“Sermon Studies”

Led by: John & Lorie Hatcliff
Each week, the group takes a deeper dive into Pastor Jay’s sermon from the previous Sunday. Discussion will be organized around the scripture and key points from the sermon outline, as well as questions provided by Pastor Jay. This group is mostly made up of those older than 50, but all ages are welcome.
 

“Warrior: Mind, Body, Spirit”

Led by: Pastor Mark Thompson
Weekly meetings Begin January 17th at 6:30pm at
3109 Harahey Ridge, Manhattan, KS 66502
Purpose of the group: team oriented personal reset designed to equip men to grasp their role as defined in the Bible through engaging in tailored workouts (30 minutes/day – 5 days a week no gym membership required) and meal plan which will improve and restore your temple; provide a daily devotional plan completed individually and as group to assist you in this spiritual adventure; and provide weekly watch- tower reports for worldly events which provide a historical and current framework of the threats to our freedom and our walk with the Lord.

“Walk as Jesus Walked”

Led by: Sarah Becker
In this video/discussion group they are discovering the
tremendous impact the message of Jesus had on a
pagan cultures as Jesus’ disciples passionately obeyed
His command to go and make disciples. The group is
being challenged to examine their own passion to be
like Jesus and impact their world with His message.
 

“Organic Outreach”

Led by: Pastor Jay Bessmer
This group is journeying together as we fulfill Jesus’
final command to his followers, “As you go, make
disciples” (Matthew 28:19). None of us have all the
answers, but together we can help, encourage, and
learn from one another.
 

“Books of the Bible”

Led by: Pastor Linda Johnson
Each week this group will look at a different book of the Bible as if they are in a library. They will discuss who wrote the book, what the book was about, what was going on when it was written, and who the audience was. They will look at a general outline of the book and some key verses.

Children & Youth Group

Children and Youth groups are also available for Pre-school through high school aged children and youth on Wednesday evenings.

 Mid-Week Connect Groups

“Parents of Prodigals” – Sundays, 6:30pm

Led by: Pastor Mark Thompson
This group will meet on Sundays at 6:30pm at the home of Pastor Mark. It is primarily for parents and grandparents with children or grandchildren who have strayed from their faith. They will be encouraging and equipping parents/grandparents as they prayerfully wait for the Lord to restore the faith of their children.
Meeting location: Pastor Mark & Donna’s home, 3109 Harahey Ridge, Manhattan.

 

Home Connect Group – Tuesdays, 7-8pm

Led by: Pastors Dustin and Chelsea Hutchinson
This group is going through the book “Love Does” by Bob Goff. They plan to start a new study on 1st & 2nd Peter in early April. This group meets at the Hutchinson’s home, 2136 Griffith Terrace, Manhattan. Also, the first and third Sundays of each month they gather at Dillon’s West Loop Deli Eatery.
 

Home Connect Group – Wednesdays, 7-8pm

Led by: Kay & Lyle Markey
“The Early Church” by Ray Vander Laan
Real faith, real life for Christians today. Faith in God can sometimes seem to be a cerebral choice. For the early church, it was the difference between Life and Death. In this 5th volume of “That the World May Know” discover the passion and commitment early believers displayed as they claimed Jesus in the face of fierce consequences and powerful adversaries.

Ladies’ Prayer Time – Thursdays, 10am

Led by: Lorie Hatcliff
We believe that God calls us to pray and that prayer is effective. We are currently meeting via Zoom. We spend about 60 minutes together praying for the needs in our congregation as well as personal needs. This is open to all ladies of our church. One Thursday a month the group meets at the church in person. Call church office or watch bulletin for that specific time.
 

Ladies’ Bible Study – Thursdays, 1:30pm

Led by: Joyce Kramer
This ladies group is currently doing “The Faithful” study by Pricilla Shrier & various women authors. This is a very caring and loving group of ladies who want to learn more about the Bible and further develop their personal walk with God. All ages are welcome.
 

Home Connect Group – Thursdays, 6:30-7:30pm

Led by: Ben & Caralee Van Becelaere
This group will be studying the book “Living by the Holy Spirit” by Frank Moore. The Father and Son gave believers the Holy Spirit to be with us and live in us. The transforming power of the Spirit conforms us to the image of Christ as we allow Him to work freely in our lives. Life in the Spirit accomplishes God’s hopes and dreams for your abundant living! The lessons are tailored so that no homework or prior reading is required.
