Ask the children who attended camp this week about the straw and the lid.  Our object lesson for the week centered on our choice to either use a straw to suck in all of Jesus that we can - or to choose a lid to block Him out of our life.  It is our choice.   After our devotional times in our cabin, we had a place to put out both the lids and the straws.  At some time that day each child had to choice to make. 

"Which one will I choose?  Do I want to suck in Jesus and have Him continually fill my heart?  Or do I want to choose a lid and block Him out?"  At the next devotion time, each child could tell which one they chose and why.  All of the children in my cabin chose a straw and many of them told us why. 

This was a great object lesson for the children and one that they could really understand.  So when you walk by one of the children that attended camp, ask them "Straw or Lid?"
